"Outside!" It's one of Caedmon's handful of words and where we've been a lot lately. He wants to put his shoes on first thing in the morning and will bring me my shoes too. He's got the idea that in his very limited experience we wear shoes outside when we go a walkin'.
The chickens are getting bigger and are living outside full time now. The boys love them; they are not so sure about the boys.
They have a 12x6 enclosure that gets moved every couple of days. It is outfitted with nest cans and a new door (made today by Abram).
A couple of weeks ago, Abram tilled up that spot we'd covered with the yard art installation a while back.
We've got garlic (planted in the fall), peas, mesclun, pak choi, mustard greens, radishes, and potatoes growing.
My favorite purple irises abound here. How lucky is that?
And violets are all over too. It's mowing day, so they're headed out.
And mushrooms.
And lilacs and cherries? What's going on outside at your house?
