Lost!

Owen noticed a loose tooth two months ago.  It was seriously the first week in November on our greenway walk.
As you may know I think there are two sorts of people when it comes to losing baby teeth.  One set will wiggle, pull, and yank at the first sign of a loose tooth until it comes out.
Owen (like I) is of the other sort.  This tooth has been wiggly for two months and dangling in his mouth for the last week.  Today it was even backwards for a while.  I must say that I was a bit surprised when it bled just a little after it came out.
He was concerned that the I might wake him if he put it under his pillow, so he put his tiny tooth into a box on the kitchen mantle.  He gave me instructions that I was to leave whatever he might receive in the box if possible and that I should save the tooth where he couldn't find it because he didn't want to get rid of the tooth (ah, my little hoarder saver). The tooth fairy left him a gold $1 coin.

I must say, that I have been looking forward to his loosing his scarred baby teeth for quite some time.  I am proud that we were able to remineralize his decay and to hold onto those teeth until they are shed in good time, and I will be glad to see his shiny new ones as they appear too!
